At its plant in Greenville, North Carolina, Grady-White produces 28 models, from 18 to 45 feet, in Coastal Explorer, center console, dual console, walkaround cabin, and express cabin boat designs.

Grady-White’s signature SeaV2 hull is a continuously variable V-hull design: At no two points is deadrise the same, from 20 degrees at the transom to 30 degrees amidships to more than 50 degrees at the bow. The result is stability at rest and trolling, with the ability to slice waves cleanly, creating a soft and stable ride.

Grady-White has been awarded every third party customer satisfaction award presented in the marine industry, including all eight J.D. Power and Associates Customer Satisfaction Awards for the category, and consecutive Customer Satisfaction Index awards for the entire 22 years they’ve been presented by the National Marine Manufacturers Association.

Since 1968, the company has been under private ownership by NMMA Hall of Fame member Eddie Smith, and is led today by another HOF member, Kris Carroll, with 49 years’ experience in the company.

Grady-White Canyon 326

A new integrated full-height glass windshield, bonded into the T-top, fronts the helm of this spacious, high-performance center console boat. The new design provides better visibility from the helm, additional protection from the elements, and an even more sleek and stylish appearance.

Like its stable mates in Grady’s Canyon line, the 326 is ready for hardcore fishing, as well as memory-making with family and friends.

An expanded beam places the wheel on center. The helm includes three Command Elite captain’s chairs. The console features a large flush-mounted electronics area, remote windlass switches, and standard Yamaha Helm Master EX system with full maneuverability functionality.

Hardtop features include spreader lights, four rod holders, radar mounting pad, and outrigger plates.

Anglers will appreciate two lighted livewells and three insulated fish boxes, two of which are 180 quarts each and the third, a massive 318 quarts at the transom. Standard are 24 rod holders at the cockpit, bow, hardtop, leaning post and transom spots, plus undergunwale storage and console rod storage sites. The deluxe leaning post features a rigging station, freshwater sink and faucet, lockable storage, and removable trash can.

To shift smoothly from fishing duty to family time, the Canyon 326 has a foldaway cockpit bench seat, plush bow seating with foldaway backrest, a pair of forward console seats, a bow shade, and a lockable console head compartment.

Built-in swim/boarding platforms on port and starboard, along with transom and portside doors, make boarding and deboarding from the dock or water—or hauling aboard a dandy fish—a breeze.

Standard and appreciated by both anglers and cruisers are freshwater and raw-water washdowns at bow and stern, and clear access to the anchor via a bow walk-through.

Options include bow thruster, electrically retractable SureShade with Sunbrella canvas, outrigger kit, bow table, and retractable ski pylon.

The Canyon 326 is built on the award-winning SeaV2 hull design and powered by Yamaha F300 or F350 outboards.

Editor’s Note

A day of fishing the offshore canyons of the Northeast is a severe challenge for center console fishing boats. But Grady-White’s Canyon 326 can make this run a pleasure cruise with its luxurious appointments and offshore-capable SeaV2 hull. -Alan Jones

Grady-White 251 CE

Grady-White continues the refinement of its popular Coastal Explorer series, including the 251 CE, a family-friendly fishing machine that features forward and aft seat upgrades for 2025.

The 251 CE resides in the middle of the three-boat, 23- to 28-foot Coastal Explorer series, all designed for shallow-water fishing and family fun in bay or inshore settings. At 25 feet, the 251 covers all the bases. To that is added the new seating format, borrowed from its siblings.

The bow casting platform transforms into cozy seating by adding bow cushions and adjusting the electro-mechanical backrests. (A bow table package is optional.) Aft, remove cushions and center backrest, fold in side backrests, and you’ve got a splendid casting platform; reposition the cushions and pivot the backrests to forward or gunwale positions for grand lounging.

Grady-White says that the 251 CE earns its “Coastal Explorer” reputation, offering “more offshore capability and performance than any other inshore fishing boat.”

And it is a fishing boat, as evidenced in its built-in rod storage, including lockable horizontal rod storage, bow and stern fishing platforms, plenty of tackle storage, deluxe leaning post with lockable storage, and a 25-gallon transom livewell. At port and starboard are 74-quart fish boxes; there’s also a 29-quart insulated fish box under the forward console seat. Fishing options include trolling motor prerigging and an outrigger kit, and there is ample space for electronics at the helm. Not that the boating family is neglected: Family-friendly amenities include a stand-up ventilated head area within the console, lots of watersports-gear storage, bow and transom ladders, and low gunwales for easy access to the water for swimmers, divers or, of course, anglers.

The painted aluminum frame hardtop contains a scratch resistant and full height integrated windshield, LED spreader lights, integrated electronics box, and storage net. The standard Yamaha F300 outboard is controlled via Yamaha’s standard Helm Master EX with Digital Electric Steering. You can upgrade to the optional Helm Master EX with Full Maneuverability functionality featuring Staypoint, Fishpoint, and Driftpoint to maintain position or heading while fishing, trolling, or family boating.

Grady-White 281 CE

Fishability and luxury combine in the new Grady-White 281 CE (Coastal Explorer), built on Grady-White’s SeaV2 continuously variable V-hull design and created to venture deftly into shallower waters but easily go offshore.

The 281 CE features a new port-side sport deck with an electromechanically folding platform and a stowable boarding ladder, perfect for landing fish or as a swim and dive platform.

A new aft bench can be configured three ways: as forward-facing seating for three or more, an inward-facing lounge area, or a large casting platform.

The bow, with electromechanically adjustable backrests, easily transitions from lounge to fishing platform or sun pad. A bow-table package is optional.

The 281 CE has four rod holders aft and four amidships, four on the T-top, plus two horizontal rod racks. Crew can prep bait at a deluxe leaning station complete with a 38-gallon livewell, a rigging station, a cutting board, four rod holders, a lure holder, lockable storage drawers and tackle trays.

Another, 18-gallon livewell at the transom holds plenty of bait. There are two 70-quart fish boxes in the bow and a 296-quart fish box/cooler under the forward console seat. Options include a hardtop outrigger kit.

Below the standard T-top, the captain and mate ride in plush seats; Command Elite helm chairs are optional. The helm features Helm Master EX with digital electric steering, and space for two large displays.

Other features include a lockable console with a tinted window, LED lighting, bulk storage, and a marine head with electric flush.

The 281 CE can be equipped with a single Yamaha XTO Offshore 450 or dual Yamaha 300 engines. Additional options include a Helm Master EX Full Maneuverability suite with a joystick and autopilot, trolling motor pre-rigging, an outrigger kit, a SureShade electrically retractable cockpit shade, and an easy-up bow shade.

Editor’s Tip

An innovative touch in the 281 CE is the  aft platform. Not only does it double as a versatile seating area, but the convertible port and starboard backrests also can swivel outward to create leaning bolsters and add stability when fishing from this elevated deck. -Joe Albanese, Executive Editor Salt Water Sportsman

Grady-White Canyon 386

Grady-White’s new Canyon 386 center-console builds upon the successful Canyon 376 while drawing the best design elements from the flagship Canyon 456. It’s ready for hardcore fishing, memory-making with family and friends, or both.

An extra-wide 13-foot-2-inch beam creates a spacious cockpit, accessed by port and starboard doors, with room for an expansive helm, four adjustable chairs and a leaning post rich in conveniences.  An integrated AV2 T-top comes complete with full-height vented windshield, a standard SureShade see-through hatch, a storage net, a radio box, LED spreader and recessed lights, and six rod holders.

Cabin access is through an aft-facing sliding door and down curved stairs. A large enclosed head area with a sink, a porcelain head and a stand-up shower is ready for weekend getaways. The galley features a stainless-steel sink, a microwave, a large refrigerator drawer, and a cherrywood dinette table that converts into a double berth. The cabin also offers air conditioning, natural lighting, abundant storage—including space for eight rods—and a 24-inch TV.

At the transom are dual 35-gallon livewells flanking a 291-quart insulated refrigerator/freezer fish box with a digital thermostat. The leaning post has six rod holders and a Corian countertop; it can serve as a bait station or make it an entertainment area by adding the optional grill.

The forward console features a luxury lounger with pull-down armrests, and two spacious storage drawers below. Bow loungers have electrically adjustable backrests. Port and starboard 149-quart insulated fish boxes help form a casting platform; add cushions to create a luxurious sun pad.

Aft of Grady-White’s patented foldaway stern bench seat, an updated transom area eliminates the traditional motorwell while supporting triple Yamaha XTO Offshore 450 engines.

One of the best-known and well-respected brands across several categories—and most represented in our survey—Grady-White’s reputation rides in large part on its hand-laid SeaV2 progressive hull. Deadrise begins at a stable 18 to 21 degrees at the transom, with wide chines providing stability both at rest and trolling, sharpening as it approaches the bow to split waves cleanly and softly.

The company has been awarded every third-party customer-satisfaction award ever presented in the marine industry, including JD Power and Associates Customer Satisfaction Awards and NMMA Customer Satisfaction Index honors.

Grady-White Canyon 306

Grady-White’s popular 30-foot Canyon 306 has evolved, while retaining signature features.

Bow seating on the center console now features forward-facing backrests that fold away to further boost already -generous fishing room. An optional insert converts the entire bow to a roomy casting platform. Beneath the seat cushions are a pair of 150-quart insulated fish boxes.

The 306′s helm can accommodate two 16-inch displays, plus additional electronics and controls. Grady-White Fisherman 257

Grady-White knows what an offshore fisherman wants in a boat: great ride and handling, plenty of power, and built-in fishing features.

A fisherman’s family desires a roomy layout, deluxe seating, a powerful stereo, an enclosed head, and storage and core fishing capabilities.

Grady-White has long met both wish lists, most recently with upgrades in its popular Fisherman 257. The 25-footer’s hardtop has been reengineered with LED spreader lights and three tricolored recessed LED lights. A full-height scratch-resistant windshield is incorporated into its painted aluminum frame, and it is surrounded by safety hand grips; stainless steel handrails are generously positioned throughout the boat.

The Fisherman 257 boasts three large overboard draining insulated fish boxes, a 32-gallon livewell with full-column distribution plenum, horizontal storage for six rods—plus eight vertical rod holders in the hardtop and at the leaning post—and four rod -holders flush-mounted in the gunwales.

An optional downrigger kit features 18-foot outriggers on the hardtop. Other options include a bow casting platform insert, a bow table, Helm Master EX steering in one of two formats, an easy-up bow shade, and hardtop curtains.

Currently, Grady-White builds 25 unsinkable models from 18 to 45 feet, all on the award-winning SeaV hull, these boats are the perfect example of the detail put into every model.

Grady-White Canyon 376

Fishing amenities and lavish comfort abound in the Grady-White Canyon 376, the second-biggest in the company’s Canyon line of center-consoles.

The Canyon 376 offers top-of-the-line center-console fishing functionality and all-around access, but its roomy console interior has luxury accommodations one might expect in a cabin-style boat: a roomy stand-up shower, a VacuFlush head, a galley with Corian countertops, a stainless-steel sink, and a refrigerator and microwave. A large berth welcomes two.

The hardtop enclosure has a large ventilation hatch, a radio box, outrigger plates, recessed tricolor LED lights, stereo speakers and wing curtains. Two air-conditioning vents serve the helm, and AC, like the diesel generator and cockpit Sunshade, is also standard.

Three Command Elite helm chairs feature deluxe cushioning and flip-up bolsters. Standard is Yamaha’s Helm Master EX with full maneuverability.

Rod storage and holders accommodate a total of 38 rods. Within the leaning bar are a pair of 41-gallon livewells with clear lids and full-column water distribution, as well as a rigging station with a freshwater sink. A 291-quart cockpit fish box is cooled by a refrigerator/freezer, and two additional fish boxes, nearly as large, are located in the bow.

Editor Says

During a trip, seas in Islamorada, Florida, had built to menacing proportions. While trolling up-sea, we dropped into a trough and faced a steep, towering 10-footer. I braced for a flood of water over the bow, but the 376 refused to stuff and climbed handily over the capping monster. That’s the kind of boat you want.  – Jim Hendricks, Staff Editor, Fishing Group
